So, I decided I would ask the children what does Easter mean… Nicky said that it mean that the Easter bunny brings him candy. Of course, Nicky thinks with his tummy a lot. He even told me one day that his tummy is telling him that it’s hungry. Shannon, however, said that it was the day Jesus Roasted… yes, roasted. I couldn’t help but start laughing at that. I knew what she meant and I was happy that she thought of it like that, but it was still hilarious to me.
Meow…

So the other night I was putting Nicky down for his bedtime. He was fighting me just a little and after singing his songs and tucking him in, he told me that when he woke up he was going to be a cat… After he said this he proceeded to meow at me and of course I meowed back. Dan told me to wish him good luck with that and of course I did. I had thought he forgot about it when he woke up, but a little on in the morning he curled up onto my lap and meowed at me. Meow, meow…
Point Taken

So, I had asked Shannon to help Nicholas clean his room by showing him how a big girl picks up the toys and puts them in the toy box. She did it, believe it or not and then came and got me to come look. I go in and she says it’s all beautiful except she put toys under his bed. So me, always the Mom says, well, that’s not really where they go is it? In all seriousness she looks up at me and says, well, it’s better than where you walk. I couldn’t stop the laugh and all I could say was point taken…
Bad Kenny

So, it didn’t take long for Kenny to bite Shannon. She now talks to him, I’ve taught her how to pick him up and let him walk around a bit on the floor, but you have to laugh when she picks him up and says “Bad Kenny, don’t do that”. Apparently he likes to play on their toys according to her as well.
Though I did catch myself saying something funny to them. He was in his hamster ball and Nicky kicked the ball a bit and I simply said, ‘No, don’t do that or you’re going to kill Kenny”. I think I’ve watched too much South Park…
Boys

My daughter said something interesting today. She looked up at me and said that ‘Some boys just don’t understand girls’. I looked at her for a moment and laughed. She’s completely right. Some boys just don’t get it. Now, I think she meant about her one friend Christopher just not understanding how girls like to play, but it means a whole different thing to me as an adult.
